Bihar Labourer's Wife Shocked After Bank Account Shows ₹759.69 Crore During Pension Withdrawal

Bank account balance screen showing more than ₹759 crore during a pension withdrawal at a CSP centre in Bihar.

A bizarre banking incident in Bihar has gone viral after the wife of a daily wage labourer was reportedly shown a bank balance of more than ₹759.69 crore while withdrawing her monthly pension. The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, although there is currently no official confirmation that the amount was actually credited to the account. Initial reports suggest the balance may have appeared due to a technical or software-related error.

According to the family, the woman had visited a Customer Service Point (CSP) linked to a bank to withdraw her ₹1,100 social security pension. After the withdrawal was completed, a balance enquiry was carried out. To the surprise of both the family and the CSP operator, the computer screen displayed an available balance of ₹7,59,69,51,951.16—an amount exceeding ₹759 crore.

The family belongs to a financially weak background and survives through farming and daily wage labour. They said they had no idea how such an enormous amount appeared in the account and had never handled transactions involving large sums of money. The unexpected figure left everyone present at the centre stunned.

Soon after the incident, a video of the balance displayed on the computer screen began circulating on social media. The viral clip attracted millions of views, with users expressing disbelief and demanding an investigation into whether it was a banking error, a software malfunction or something else.

However, banking and cybersecurity experts have urged caution. They note that a balance shown on a computer screen does not necessarily mean the money actually exists in the account. Software glitches, server synchronisation problems or display errors can sometimes produce incorrect figures. Experts have also pointed out that screen information can be manipulated digitally, making independent verification essential before drawing conclusions.

Another issue raised after the video went viral was customer privacy. Many people criticised the recording and public sharing of the account holder's banking details and personal identity without consent. Financial experts say that exposing a customer's account information in public can pose serious privacy and security risks.

As of now, no bank or government authority has officially confirmed that ₹759 crore was ever deposited into the account. Officials are expected to examine transaction records and banking logs to determine why such a massive balance appeared during the enquiry.

The incident has once again highlighted the importance of verifying viral claims before accepting them as fact. While the extraordinary balance shown on the screen has generated widespread attention, there is currently no evidence that the family actually had access to the money, and the incident is widely believed to be linked to a technical anomaly pending official confirmation.
